in a charming hotel...

Erin & David –both lovers of adventure, travelling and movies scenarios- decided to have a destination wedding in Majorca, and chose to marry lovely Can Verdera, a boutique hotel located at the heart of quaint Fornalutx, encircled by their relatives and closer friends.

During several months before the wedding Erin sent us photographs with ideas and details taken from all over the planet, letting us know the style of things they liked the most. From these pictures, together with their chosen location, we then created the entire decoration.

The colors and textures (with marked Southeastern Asian reminiscence) were predominantly fuchsia, pink and purple. We used Roses, Peonies and Tracheliums in combination with the typical, local Bougainvilleas.

Matching cushions, some brought from Thailand and India and some purposely handmade by us for the event, together with light-dressed trees, candle lights all around and lanterns lying on flower petals beds surrounding the swimming pool, transformed the hotel space into their much-desired Balinese atmosphere inside the Sierra Tramuntana.

Bride and groom came together, and hand-laced strolled along the nuptial corridor while the Peter Pan movie soundtrack playacted as the musical background. Their guests, sit on puffs, enjoyed the distended ceremony in this mountain surrounded venue.

Ainere Catering was in charge of the selection of tasty appetizers and canapés, during a Flying Buffet style banquet. And, yes, after the many sangria jars, everybody plunged into the swimming pool… bride included!

One of their best friends mentioned during the ceremony that “Helen Keller is credited as having said: Life is either a great adventure or nothing”. And added “I can’t imagine two people who’ve taken her words more to heart”.
