Seeding love...

...among hillside terraces

MARTA & CARLOS

After cultivating their love for several years, Marta and Carlos wed on a very special day: The longest day in the calendar, on San Juan’s night.
They had been sharing common dreams for a long time, yet this one was a pending one. So, on June 23 and with the Mediterranean Sea as imposing background they swore eternal love to each other.
The estate where they live in Puerto de Soller was the venue for the celebration. A marvellous, rustic environment surrounded by terraces of millennial olive trees gazing into the sea.

“We want it to be a great party, yet without artifices and within budget…”. Following these premises we created a youthful, country style and rural ambiance full of artisanal details made with love.
For lighting we designed a geometric motif with garlands of light bulbs opposed to garlands of liberty-stamped fabric pennants along the main terrace, which together gave it a magic verbena atmosphere.

The cheerful colours of summer and the sun were our palette. White and an ample variety of yellows predominated.
Straw bales, tree trunks, sawed wood, burlap fabric, little flower prints, lemons, aromatic plants and fieldwork objects gave the country style touch that we were looking for.
The bride arrived in a picturesque, vintage Fiat 600 accompanied by her brother. A triple arch, personalized for the occasion with lace fabrics, trunks and flowers arrangements, became the altar where they shone with joy surrounded by friends.
For the confetti petals we used paper cones made of pages of old books; the seats were the straw bales that usually feed the animals in the farm.

The finger-food buffet was prepared by Ainere Catering and no one could resist the huge tart of mallorcan almonds gateau filled with mascarpone and wild berries.

The chill out areas were made of trunk assemblies, as tables, and straw bales dressed as benches. Rustic cushions handmade from coffee sacks gave a personal and welcoming touch to the space.

The night soul was an original bar, built using some of the gigantic trees of the finca and the pergola – covered with dozens of candles in rustic hanging rope lanterns- where the dancing lasted till dawn.

This love cultivated day after day illuminated a very funny party, which we were delighted to prepare and to share here with you all.
